Berea Bible Church affirms the Holy Scriptures as verbally inspired by God, inerrant in the originals, and the supreme authority for faith and practice when interpreted historically and grammatically. We believe God created the heavens and earth in six literal twenty-four-hour days and that views denying this are serious errors against His glory.
We believe in one God eternally existing in three co-equal persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who convicts of sin, regenerates, baptizes believers into Christ’s body, indwells, seals, fills, and guides them into truth.
We believe Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became sinless man by the virgin birth, died as substitutionary sacrifice for all mankind, rose bodily, and ascended as High Priest and Advocate.
We believe mankind is totally depraved and that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone, with all believers eternally secure by God’s power.
The Church is the body and bride of Christ consisting of all born-again persons; local churches are autonomous. We practice believer’s baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper, restrict the offices of pastor and elder to biblically qualified men, and hold that tongues and sign miracles gradually ceased with the New Testament.
We believe in Christ’s personal, pre-tribulation, and imminent return, the bodily resurrection of the saved to eternal conscious bliss and the unsaved to everlasting conscious punishment in the Lake of Fire, and that marriage is the exclusive union of one man and one woman as genetically defined at birth with sexual intimacy reserved for that union.
We exist to proclaim the Gospel and live in obedience to Scripture while maintaining separation from apostasy and worldly conformity.
